2 Research stipends for the Research Center in Dance Studies

The Equality Commission and the Center for Contemporary Dance (CCD) at the University for Music and Dance in Cologne are awarding in 2017 two Research stipends for the Research Center in Dance Studies (Forschungskolleg Tanzwissenschaft) in the amount of 1.500 € each
The Research Center in Dance Studies (CCD) is interested in supporting high quality and interdisciplinary research in Dance Studies that explicitly work with the archival collection of the German Dance Archive Cologne.
Applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered:
1. National and international doctoral candidates and scholars who are researching gender specific questions or methodological approaches (for a stipend sponsored by equal opportunity funding).
2. The stipend is available for international scholars with PhD, or PhD candidates whose base for working is located outside of Germany (for a stipend sponsored by the CCD).
The deadline for application is 30.5.2017.
Applications demand a research exposé (3-10 pages), C.V. with a list of publications, information regarding your current institutional frame in which your research is supported as well as a completed application formula (to be requested at gleichstellunghfmt-koeln.de)

Both stipends demand a residency of 4-6 weeks in Cologne, during regular semester times (Oct.-Jan or Apr.-June), as well as a presentation, discussion or workshop on the themes surrounding the individual research, within the frame of the CCD or the events in the Dance Archive Cologne. This stipend seeks to support the return of knowledge from innovative research into dance studies and dance dissemination practices.
The residency that is bound to the stipend must begin within the 2017 calendar year.

Die Gleichstellungskommission und das Zentrum für Zeitgenössischen Tanz der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln vergeben in diesem Jahr zwei Forschungsstipendien für das Forschungskolleg Tanzwissenschaft in Höhe von jeweils 1.500 €.
Das Forschungskolleg Tanzwissenschaft ist daran interessiert, hochkarätige und interdisziplinäre tanzwissenschaftliche Forschung zu unterstützen, die explizit mit den Beständen des Deutschen Tanzarchivs Köln arbeitet.
Bewerben können sich:
1. Nationale und internationale, promovierte Wissenschaftler und Wissenschaftlerinnen, die sich mit genderspezischen Fragestellungen oder methodischen Ansätzen in ihrer Forschung beschäftigen (für das Stipendium aus Gleichstellungs-Mitteln).
2. Zudem auch internationale promovierte und promovierende WissenschaftlerInnen oder solche, die ihre Arbeitsbasis im Ausland haben (für ZZT-Mittel).

Beide Stipendien sind mit einer Aufenthaltspicht von 4-6 Wochen in Köln während der Semesterzeiten (Okt-Jan. oder April-Juni) verbunden sowie mit einer Präsentation, Diskussion oder Workshop zur eigenen Forschung im Rahmen des ZZT oder Veranstaltungen des Tanzarchivs. Hierdurch soll ein Rückfluss innovativer Ideen aus der historischen Forschung in die tänzerische und tanzwissenschaftliche Vermittlungspraxis
gefördert werden.
Der mit dem Stipendium verbundene Aufenthalt muss noch im Jahr 2017 beginnen.
