The Association of Historians of 19th-Century Art (AHNCA) will hold its annual session, "Future Directions in 19th-Century Art History," at the 2012 College Art Association conference in Los Angeles. The conference will take place from February 22-25, 2012. Advanced graduate students and recent PhDs (within 2 years of receiving their degree) are invited to submit a proposal on any aspect of 19th-century art. Proposal abstracts should be no more than 500 words, should be accompanied by a current c.v. and must be received by July 1, 2011. Per CAA guidelines, final abstracts of accepted papers will be due August 5, 2011, and full texts of the accepted papers will be due December 2, 2011. With the proposal, please also include your CAA membership number, institution, home or office address, telephone number, and email.
