Art Historian One-Year Appointment

INDIANA UNIVERSITY-PURDUE UNIVERSITY INDIANAPOLIS, HERRON SCHOOL OF
ART. Visiting assistant professor. One-year appointment with the
possibility of renewal, beginning August 2003.
Field open, except Baroque and Modern/Contemporary. Teach 3
courses/semes ter, including introductory survey and upper-level
courses in area(s) of specialization. Ph.D. and college-level
teaching experience preferred, but will consider ABD. Strong
commitment to undergraduate teaching is expected. Position includes
service on faculty committees.

The Herron School of Art is a school of Indiana University-Purdue
University Indianapolis, a dynamic urban campus of more than 27,000
students. Herron, a 100-year-old professional art school accredited
by NASAD, enrolls 700 students and employs almost 50 faculty members.
Herron offers the BA in Art History, BFA in painting, sculpture,
photography, ceramics, printmaking, visual communications, and
furniture design, and BAE and MAE in Art Education.
