ABOUT H-GENDER-MIDEAST

The H-GENDER-MIDEAST network seeks to establish an active dialogue on
issues of gender in the Arabic speaking Middle East, Turkey, the
Caucuses, Central Asia, Western Asia, the Mediterranean and
sub-Saharan Africa. Its aim is to structure a network in tune with
shifting articulations of geographical connections. The network
furthermore intends to bring together gender-focused issues from
within a wide range of interdisciplinary positions.

H-GENDER-MIDEAST is co-edited by Martina Rieker mriekeraucegypt.edu
and Cynthia Nelson cynthiaaucegypt.edu. It is advised by a board of
scholars.

Like all H-Net lists, H-GENDER-MIDEAST is moderated to edit out
material that, in the editors' opinion, is not germane to the list,
involves technical matters (such as subscription management
requests), is inflammatory, or violates evolving, yet common,
standards of Internet etiquette. H-Net's procedure for resolving
disputes over list editorial practices is Article II, Section 2.20 of
our bylaws, located at:
