Winterthur Museum, Garden, and Library is accepting applications for
residential
research fellowships in American art, history, and culture.

Winterthur supports approximately twenty-five visiting scholars each year in
several programs: NEH fellowships for senior scholars (up to $30,000 for 4-12
months); Lois F. McNeil Dissertation Fellowships ($7000 per semester);
Short-term
(1-3 month) fellowships ($1500 per month).

Winterthur's library resources are strong in American art, history, and culture
from 1650 to 1930, with excellent related British and Continental materials.
The
museum collection includes 85,000 domestic artifacts and works of art made or
used
in America to 1860. Among other topics, the collections will support research
in domestic life, the history of manners, the body, travel and tourism,
women's/men's culture, childhood, and in art history, material culture, and
decorative arts.
