Quest University Canada invites applications for an outstanding teacher and scholar of the visual arts and art history. While the field and rank are open, the successful candidate must be able to develop and teach courses in the visual arts and art history, teach in our interdisciplinary humanities Foundation courses, develop and teach Concentration courses, and will also be called upon to teach in our Cornerstone, Question, and Rhetoric courses.

All Quest classes are seminar-style and are limited to a maximum of 20 students. Our faculty teach highly interactive classes and seek out opportunities to develop interdisciplinary courses. Further details about Quest and the application procedure can be found under Information for Faculty Applicants (http://www.questu.ca/employment/faculty_openings/). Applications should be sent to humfacultyquestu.ca.

PhD (or equivalent) and some teaching experience are required; evidence of effective teaching must be included in the application. Although research, especially that involving undergraduates, is encouraged, those seeking a research-focused faculty position should not apply.

Applications should be received by November 14, 2011. The start date for the position will be August 1, 2012.
