The Spring 2014 issue examines the writings of the art critic David Sylvester and the relationship of artist Mira Schendel with the philosopher Vilém Flusser. Eduardo Paolozzi’s blend of brutalism and pop is discussed, and new readings of photography and the American West and of contemporary Chinese art are proposed.
