You will work on a Historic England-funded project, Developing a National Framework and Research Agenda for the Historic Built Environment. This is a highly responsible post, critical to the success of the project and one which will involve working with the project executive manager Professor Harold Mytum, project manager Dr Alexandrina Buchanan and project team members Dan Miles, John Cattell and Kathryn Morrison from Historic England (HE). You will have a background and training in architectural history, and ideally already be familiar with development control and the planning process with reference to the built environment. You should have a Master’s Degree in architectural history or a related subject, excellent interpersonal skills, be IT literate, highly organised, and used to working within tight schedules. You must have excellent research and writing skills. The post offers a unique opportunity for you to establish a high profile within the English heritage sector, and will involve liaising with many senior figures in governmental and private sector organisations, as well as universities, learned societies, and professional bodies as part of the national consultation process. The post is available until 31 January 2018 initially, on a 0.5 fte basis.
