IAS Research and Publication Grant

A second 2015 IAS Research and Publication Grant will be awarded to a graduate student or scholar at any level and of any nationality. Up to $1000 is available to fund or subsidize a research trip or a publication (i.e., for purchasing image rights or as a publication subvention).
Beginning in 2016, this grant will awarded only to members holding the PhD. At the same time, IAS will add a new Dissertation Research Grant for graduate students. More information to come soon!
Applicants for IAS grants must be IAS members at the time of application and upon receipt and use of the award. Members who have received an IAS award in the past two years are not eligible to apply. IAS officers and committee members are not eligible to apply.

IAS Conference Travel Grant

The IAS is pleased to announce a new IAS Conference Travel Grant for Modern Topics. Up to $1000 will be available to subsidize transoceanic travel to present a paper on the art or architecture of Italy from the early 19th century to the present at a conference, in an IAS sponsored session.
This grant has been established to fill the gap caused by the IAS-Kress International Travel Grant’s restriction to fund topics up to the early nineteenth century only. To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. or foreign scholars, must already hold the PhD, and must be undertaking transoceanic travel to any conference where IAS is sponsoring a session on Italian art or architecture of the 19th-21st centuries.
